🐾 You must have a natural talent for connecting with animals, understand their behavior, and know how to keep pets feeling safe and happy.

🌟 We need a team member who can be counted on, is responsible, honest, and can follow directions.

🔍 If you notice the small stuff and have amazing communication skills, you're our kind of person!

🐕‍🦺 Your leash skills are incredible. You know how to use a leash to guide a dog, enhance their walking experience, and keep them safe when unexpected circumstances arise.

🌦️ Rain or shine, snow or sleet, you're ready to embrace the great outdoors and make every walk a pleasant experience for the dogs.

🚗 You have your own vehicle and enjoy driving it, have a smartphone with access to the internet, and you’re tech-savvy.

Available Positions:

Part-time Dog Walker (Seasonal)

Al Fresco Tails is looking to hire a professional, reliable, dog walker who can work independently, is detail-oriented, and takes direction well. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs, loves spending time outdoors, and is looking to fill some time during the day. To be considered for the position of professional dog walker for Al Fresco Tails, you must live on Martha’s Vineyard and be available to work between 5-25 hours Monday through Saturday between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week

Required Qualifications:

  • Pet CPR & First Aid Certified

  • 1 - 3 years of hands-on experience gained through employment or volunteer work in environments such as animal shelters, veterinarian offices, as a dog walker/pet-sitter, or a combination of related experiences

  • Pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license

  • Must be 18 years old or older

  • Must live on Martha’s Vineyard
